What Ad Curator does
Ad Curator lets you pick ad categories and approved curation routes. The Chrome extension can run those routes after you press the site or popup curation button.
Independence
Ad Curator is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any advertising platform, ad network, search engine, social network, retailer, marketplace, ticketing service, or destination website used in approved curation routes.
Extension data
The Chrome extension stores selected categories, selected options, enabled signal methods, custom run progress, and installation timing in Chrome local storage on your device.
The extension does not require an account, does not collect payment information, does not sell personal information, and does not send extension preferences to an Ad Curator server.
Website analytics
The Ad Curator website uses analytics and session-observation tools to understand whether the product works and where users get stuck. These tools may receive page views, clicks, interaction events, browser/device metadata, approximate location derived from IP address, and session replay information.
The analytics providers currently used by the website are Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, and Microsoft Clarity. The site is hosted by Vercel, which may process request logs and hosting metadata.
Custom topics
Custom topics you add are stored in browser local storage for the website. If the Chrome extension is installed, the same preferences can also be stored in Chrome extension local storage on your device. Analytics events for custom topics use counts, not the raw custom topic text.
Approved curation routes
When you start curation, the extension opens or updates a single inactive tab with user-approved search, shopping, social, retail, marketplace, review, ticket, and model-research URLs. Those destination sites may process your visit according to their own policies.
The extension observes navigation in that extension-created curation tab to detect Google throttle pages and slow future Google routes. It ignores navigation events from tabs it did not create for the active curation run.
